Ocean Freight Coordinator
Ocean Freight Coordinator – Dublin – Up to €42,000 per annum
Our client, who are well know international freight forwarder are looking for an Ocean Freight Coordinator to join their team in Dublin.
As Ocean Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of ocean freight and related information, while delivering a high standard of customer service.
Salary: €42,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end ocean freight process
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry within internal operational systems
- Monitor and track export shipments, providing regular updates and reporting
- Maintain full compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement best practices
- Ensure all customer standard operating procedures are correctly maintained and regularly updated
- Communicate effectively with international partners, customers, and internal teams, ensuring timely responses
- Escalate issues or delays to management when required
Skills & Experience
- 3-4 years experience in a freight forwarding role
- Knowledge of ocean documentation processes is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to achieve positive outcomes
- Proactive approach with excellent organisational abilities
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Hazardous Materials certification (preferred)
- Fluent in English
