Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Salary: Circa £32,000 (negotiable depending on experience) + benefits

Ocean Freight Coordinator Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Coordinator to join their growing team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a drive to progress within the logistics industry.

Ocean Freight Coordinator Key Responsibilities

• Managing import and export shipments from start to finish
• Managing ocean freight shipments
• Quoting for new and existing customers
• Liaising with suppliers including hauliers and shipping lines
• Arranging transport via shipping lines, agents, and hauliers
• Handling account management for key customers
• Processing customer invoices and supplier costs
• Supporting the coordination of ocean freight operations
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely updates to customers
• Assisting with customs-related processes where required

• Knowledge of completing full customs entries
• Familiarity with HMRC CDS clearance systems
• Experience using freight forwarding systems (e.g. Cargoes, Actifreight, MCP, CNS)
