Ocean Freight Manager
Location: Bradford
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Bonus

An established and growing freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Ocean General Manager to lead and develop its ocean freight operations. This role requires a results-driven leader with a background in time-sensitive freight forwarding, capable of driving operational efficiency, commercial success, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the ocean freight team, ensuring efficient and smooth operations.
- Ensure shipments are delivered on time and within budget, meeting customer expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and key clients.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and cost efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and drive profitability.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Key Requirements
- Proven leadership experience within ocean freight forwarding.
- Background in fast-paced or time-sensitive freight operations.
- Strong ability to manage carrier relationships and negotiate competitive rates.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to drive business growth and operational excellence.
