Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 dependant on experience

Ocean Freight Supervisor/Team Lead Role:

We are seeking to appoint an experienced ocean freight professional to lead, support and mentor a dedicated team of ocean freight operators. This role would suit someone who is looking to take the next step in their freight forwarding career or equally someone who is already working as a supervisor or team leader in the freight industry and is looking for a new challenge. The successful individual will be able to carry out start-to-finish ocean import procedures, liaise with shipping lines and overseas agents, negotiate rates, and spot quotations with high levels of customer service at all levels. You will be responsible for the development of a team and help support the management of key accounts and complete the entire life cycle of the freight process from origin through to final delivery and invoice.

Essential requirements:

• 2 – 5 years’ experience in ocean freight forwarding
• Experience with import or export operations
• Experience with Cargowise software preferable
• Customs experience for ocean import procedures is preferable

The Package:

• Salary £35,000 – £40,000 (Negotiable)
• Mon – Fri 8:30am – 17:00pm 16:30pm finish on Fridays
• 25 days holiday + 8 days BH
• Profit share scheme
• Bonus
• Company pension contribution
