Ocean Import Clerk – Heathrow – Up to £38,000

Our client, who are a multi-site Freight Forwarder in the UK and overseas are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ocean Import Coordinator to join their team in Bristol. As an Ocean import Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the importation of goods by sea, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery for our clients. Your knowledge of import procedures, excellent communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks will contribute to the success of their freight forwarding operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £38,000

Working Hours: Monday- Friday 9am – 5.30pm

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the Import of goods via ocean freight.
• Communicate and liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and clients.
• Arrange and track shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues or delays.
• Coordinate with warehouse and transportation teams for efficient cargo handling and delivery.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of Import records and databases.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and providing status updates.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination of Import activities.

Requirements:

• Previous Experience working for a UK Based Freight Forwarder.
• Experience in Ocean Freight Operations.
• Import Operations experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Export Operations would be desirable but not essential.
