We’re recruiting an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join a successful, privately owned freight forwarding business in Manchester.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants ownership, variety and genuine career progression within a supportive and growing team.
The Role
You’ll manage ocean import shipments from start to finish, including:
- FCL & LCL shipments
- Booking with shipping lines and overseas agents
- Shipping documentation and customs/CDS
- Customer, haulier and agent liaison
- Shipment tracking and proactive customer updates
- Costing, invoicing and resolving operational issues
- Building strong customer relationships
About You
You’ll have:
- Proven Ocean Import / freight forwarding experience
- FCL & LCL knowledge
- Customs/CDS experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple shipments in a busy environment
- CargoWise experience is advantageous
