Ocean Import Freight Forwarder
Location: Totton, Southampton
Salary: Up to £40,000
A well-established freight forwarder based in Totton, Southampton is looking to recruit an experienced Ocean Import Freight Forwarder to join their small and friendly team.
This role will involve managing end-to-end ocean import shipments, ensuring cargo moves smoothly from origin through to final delivery while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Managing full ocean import shipments from start to finish
Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines and customers
Completing import documentation and supporting customs processes
Arranging deliveries and coordinating with transport providers
Updating shipments and maintaining accurate records using CargoWise
Providing proactive updates and support to customers
Requirements
Previous experience in ocean freight imports
Good understanding of the end-to-end import process
Experience using CargoWise preferred
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work well in a small team environment
