Position: Ocean Import Operator
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Hours: Mon – Fri – 8:30am – 17:00pm
Flexible working available
25 day holiday + BH
Annual salary reviews + Bonus incentive

A leading Freight Forwarding and International logistics company, are now looking for an experienced ocean import operator at their site in Southampton due to continued growth plans.

You will be joining an expanding team of Freight Forwarders dealing with the entire life cycle of the freight forwarding process for key customer accounts via Sea, Air and European Road Freight.

The Role:
As our ocean import operator you will work as part of a small dynamic team, primarily deal with imports via deep sea and Air freight. This role will cover the entire life cycle of the freight forwarding process. You should demonstrate a passion and desire to want to progress within the company and show you are able to handle more responsibility as the role progresses. Multi-tasking is a key aspect to this role. This is an end to end, fully operational role dealing with all aspects of the import process via sea freight.

Experience Requirements:
Imports or Exports experience
Rate Quotations for FCL & LCL Shipments
Liaising with overseas agents and hauliers
Invoicing upon delivery
Produce bills of ladding
Freight Forwarding Background (Min 2 years)
Sea Freight experience essential
Customs Clearance is highly desirable
