Position: Ocean Import Operator

Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester

Salary: Up to £33,000

We seek an Ocean Import Account Manager to join their Retail team based in Manchester and provide exceptional service to nominated clients.

Your key responsibilities as Ocean Import Operator:

• Provide an exceptional level of service to all customers.
• Manage and oversee the import process for sea freight shipments from origin to delivery
• Quote clients and negotiate rates with suppliers to optimise cost-effectiveness for clients
• Monitor shipments and update clients
• Prepare customs documents for the customs department
• Liaise with suppliers and hauliers ensuring smooth delivery and monitor shipments to update clients regarding any delay
• Invoice and cost files to ensure correct profit margin.
• Visit clients with the sales team and help build strong relationships

Requirements:

• End to end Ocean Freight Operations knowledge
• Working knowledge of the International freight forwarding industry.
• Be able to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and your wider team
• Have a keen attention to detail
• Develop trust and respect from colleagues & clients
• Identify problems early & respond in a timely fashion
• A proactive and professional persona
