Location: Manchester
Salary: £35,000 + Enhanced Benefits package

Hours: Mon – Fri 37.5 per week (flexible and hybrid available)

We are a leading, employee-owned logistics organisation seeking an experienced Ocean Import Operations Account manager to join our team in Manchester. You will be the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing their deep-sea import shipments from initial booking through to delivery, ensuring smooth operations and strong customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage deep-sea import operations from inception to completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service, acting as the primary contact for client inquiries, problem-solving, and relationship development.
• Oversee invoicing and cost management to ensure profitability and accuracy.
• Maintain and monitor service expectations with key accounts, ensuring contractual obligations and KPIs are met.
• Select and liaise with appropriate carriers and service providers to optimise service quality and costs.
• Collaborate closely with internal operations teams to ensure seamless shipment handling.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts to drive growth.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience managing deep-sea import operations end-to-end within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage invoicing, costs, and profitability.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and influence colleagues positively.
