Ocean Import Pricing Coordinator

Location: Southampton

Salary: £30,000

They provide tailor made solutions for all types of freight movements and associated services supported by industry leading IT platforms, ensuring they deliver peace of mind to all of their customers to coincide with our growth and development plans for 2022 and beyond we now seek to appoint a new ocean freight pricing coordinator to our growing team in based from our offices in Totton, Southampton.

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and handle all Ocean import quote requests from existing customers, new customers and also our agents.
• Contact transporters, for ad-hoc rates. Allocate the shipping line based on rates and transit.
• Understand the rate schedule with the routing and transit time of vessels
• Follow up on each quote till accepted/rejected.
• Once quote approved by customer send booking details to our Agent and follow up till Pre-alert received
• Keep a schedule on all quotes won/rejected with reason.
• Handle the clearance from door to door on all ad hoc new quotes won
• Existing customer quotes accepted, handle the forwarding of the pre-alerts till pre-alert received, then hand over to the import co-ordinator.
• Register files on Boxtop on all existing customer quotes and hand over to Import coordinator.
• Assist with the Southampton Mail box as and when required
• General office duties when required

Essential requirements:

1 – 3 years’ experience in ocean freight operations or pricing experience with import or export operations

Experience with Cargowise software is preferable

The Package: Salary:£30,000 (Negotiable)
