We are currently recruiting for an experienced Ocean Import Operator to join a well-established freight forwarding business at their Dublin office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a competent import professional who can manage ocean import shipments from start to finish and is confident working in a fast-paced, office-based logistics environment.

The Role
As an Ocean Import Operator, you will be responsible for handling ocean import shipments across the full operational cycle. You will work closely with customers, carriers, internal departments, and overseas agents to ensure shipments are processed efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing ocean import shipments from booking through to final delivery
• Handling all operational documentation and customs-related processes as required
• Liaising with customers, shipping lines, hauliers, and overseas offices
• Ensuring files are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Providing a high standard of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle
• Supporting the wider freight operation where needed

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in ocean imports within a freight forwarding environment
• Ability to manage shipments start to finish with minimal supervision
• CW1 experience would be a significant advantage
• Some air freight experience would be beneficial
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive, reliable, and team-focused approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy office

Package and Benefits

• Salary of circa €35,000 to €40,000 gross per annum
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Working hours of either 8:30am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
