Operations Manager / Operations Director Designate – Kidderminster – £60,000 + Car Allowance
Ambitious Operations Manager required to join a thriving full-turnkey solution provider who offer a package of design, manufacture, protection and site installation of process plant equipment.
As the successful Operations Manager you will manage all areas of the business, including projects, production, design and stores, with an overall head-count on site of 27 people and growing!
This role would suit someone who has come from a service, fitting / installation or similar background, with experience working in process handling, fabrication or heavy engineering.
My client is putting in place an exciting growth strategy for the next 7 years which offers the successful Operations Manager a great opportunity to be part of helping to lead positive operational business change.
The Package:
Salary – £55,000-£60,000
Car allowance – (circa £6,000)
Pension Scheme
9am-5pm (Monday-Friday)
25 days holiday + bank holidays
The Role:
- Being the main point of contact for all operational facets of the business.
- Working closely with the Owner and senior management team to modernise the running of the business, improving the company’s overall operational processes.
- Having an ability to know what bad, good, and great look like within a business operation,
- ensuring that standards and reporting/review mechanisms are constantly high and efficient.
- Being hands on, where you will have involvement with a wide variety of day to day operational matters in the workshop through to back office.
- Being highly visible each week in the office, working closely with the owner and other senior members of the team Involvement with all operational set up and procedures implementation with the move to a new potential site.
- Attending visitors to customer sites to ensure customer satisfaction and to oversea installation works.
Requirements:
- Proven operational management experience.
- Proven track record delivering process and operational procedure improvements.
- Will ideally have previous experience of fitting / servicing equipment.
- The ideal candidate will be able to pinpoint pinch points or bottlenecks in an industrial process.
- Must have mechanical understanding and solid manufacturing industry knowledge.
