Location: Manchester
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000

We are seeking a talented PLC Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team and help drive innovation in automation projects. You will deliver cutting-edge automation solutions across industries such as manufacturing, energy, or automotive.

As a PLC Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain PLC systems to ensure seamless operation of automated processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that optimize efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, program, test, and maintain PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)

• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime

• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on automation projects

• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, control logic, and operation manuals

• Participate in commissioning and start-up of new machinery and systems

• Implement process improvements to enhance performance and efficiency

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations

Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field

• Proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting

• Strong knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networks, and sensors/actuators

• Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
