Are you looking for a varied project-based role within a small contracting business? A long-established firm with just 7 staff and family run where each member of the team “must wear different hats”.

If you would like a typically office-based (but not always) projects management / contracts based role, then this job could be for you!

This is a nice 3rd generation small business that design and manufactures their own products but works as a contractor supplying products, expertise, and managing installation projects. They have an excellent reputation for quality and delivering projects.

The role:

• You along with colleagues will manage multiple installations carried out by trusted sub-contract installers
• You be required to regularly produce CAD drawings – layout installation drawings that are accurate and detailed
• You will work closely with customers to deliver their projects ensuring quality, budget, and time-scales are met.
• You will assist with producing detailed quotes, RAMS and other Health and safety documentation for each project
• Site visits are required to survey, measure up, and to plan the smooth running of each installation with the main client/contractor
• You will be required to work on ISO9001 quality management documentation
• Carryout occasional Toolbox talks with sub-contractors
• Office hours 8:30 am – 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)

Essential for this role

• CAD drawing experience essential – can be engineering or construction or architectural drawing experience
• Driving licence
• Smart and presentable

Some of the following are very beneficial;

• Previous worked in a similar role and environment: Project Manager, Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Design Draughtsman, CAD Technician, Contracts Engineer, Coordinator
• Experience working in an SME contracting environment
• Knowledge/experience in preparing RAMS
• HVAC or specifically ventilation / ductwork experience
• Flexible attitude to mucking in / team work required in an small business
• Available for occasional early starts to carry out site visits

Package:

• Up to £40,000 salary
• Use of company car for business-related journeys/site visits
• Pension scheme, private health care
• 20 days holiday per annum + bank holidays + Christmas week shut down.
