Project Manager – Construction

My client is a leading provider of full turnkey solutions for specialist commercial and industrial projects including mechanical, electrical, HVAC and construction. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in managing construction projects to take responsibility for turnkey contracts in the Oxfordshire region.

Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, development, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, fit-out and construction phases of various projects. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and other team members to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Package;

  • £60,000 to £70,000 depending on experience
  • 23 days holiday
  • 7.5% pension
  • Company vehicle or allowance

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage mechanical projects from conception to completion
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other team members to determine project scope and requirements
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and other project documentation
  • Ensure that all designs are compliant with industry standards and regulations
  • Oversee the fabrication, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that all work is completed to the required quality standards
  • Monitor project costs and timelines
  • Provide technical support to clients and other team members as required
  • Manage and mentor project team members
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a Construction related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager, working on commercial or industrial projects
  • Strong commercial and contractual skills
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is preferred
