Quality Technician
I am seeking a detail-driven Quality Technician to support the Quality and Engineering teams of a global manufacturer based in Knutsford. The ideal candidate will be confident working with material certifications, suppliers and internal departments to ensure full compliance with company and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with Engineering and Quality teams on certification queries.
Conduct witness testing at test houses.
Conduct internal audits and participate in 2nd/3rd party audits.
Compile monthly QA reports and KPIs.
Provide QA input for Change Management requests.
Support customer return investigations using tools such as 8D.
Support supplier performance reviews, audits and corrective action follow-ups.
Monitor performance of new or re-sourced parts.
Maintain quality procedures, work instructions and forms.
Investigate product/process failures and implement corrective actions (8D, 5Y).
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers or distributors.
Knowledge of quality testing methods and material standards.
Strong communication skills and ability to analyse data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, API and quality methodologies.
Minimum GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
