Refrigeration Applications Engineer – Come off the tools

Are you a refrigeration engineer looking to come off the tools? We’re supporting a specialist refrigeration and air conditioning business looking to bring in an Applications Engineer.

You’ll use your practical experience to support equipment selection, system specification and technical proposals, working closely with customers, contractors and suppliers.

The Role

• Use your site experience to assist with the specification and selection of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.

• Work closely with contractors, consultants and end-users to understand real-world requirements and recommend suitable solutions.

• Produce technical proposals, sizing calculations and equipment selections.

• Support technical queries alongside the wider engineering team.

• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure systems are correctly specified and compatible.

Who This Role Suits

• A refrigeration engineer looking to come off the tools into a technical support/applications role.

• Strong background in HVAC, ideally refrigeration, commercial cooling or cellar coolers.

• Practical understanding of system design, refrigerants and industry standards.

• Comfortable producing calculations, selections and technical documentation (or keen to learn).

• Clear communicator who enjoys solving problems and working as part of a close-knit technical team.

Package

• £40,000-£50,000 salary (DOE)

• Twice-yearly bonus (individual + company performance)

• Hybrid working – office attendance once per month if not local
