Location: Ipswich

Salary: Up to £72,000pa + Company Car (DOE)

My client is looking for an experienced Transport Manager to be a pivotal part of Central Senior Management, directly responsible for Transport Managers across the country. If you have extensive experience in Management across General Haulage, Shipping Lines and Freight Forwarding, you are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 5:30pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the direct report for all the Transport Managers across the UK.
• Be Safety focused, ensuring a safe work environment across all operations and depots.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations and Sales team to promote the business and generate new revenue opportunities.

• Ensure transport legislation commitment.
• P&L responsibilities across operations, depots and offices.

• Monitor KPI’s, SLA’s and overall performance and implement plans and amendments to ensure high performance is achieved across the board.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Transport Management.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of General Haulage, Shipping Lines and Freight Forwarding.
• Transport Management CPC is essential.
• Strong Business/Commercial Acumen.
• Excellent UK geographical knowledge.
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to thrive in a busy work environment.
