Road Freight Coordinator
Freight Forwarder – Lichfield – Up to £32,000
Our client, who are a highly established Freight Forwarding & International Logistics company are now seeking to appoint a new team member to the Freight Department primarily dealing with Groupage Services
As the Freight Forwarder you will be tasked with managing the company’s customer accounts, dealing with the entire life cycle of the import and export process via European Road Freight.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 17:30pm
Salary: Up to £32,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate Rates and arrange Groupage shipments
- Provide spot quotes
- You must be able to forge & develop strong working relationships with subcontractors and customers alike.
- Work towards KPI Targets
- Route Planning throughout Europe in line with SLA’s
- Mange full Import / Export process from start to finish
- Provide outstanding levels of customer service
- Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude towards your work
- Liaise with overseas partners Promote company brand and image through customer service Essential
Requirements:
- 2-5 years Freight Forwarding experience
- Road freight experience for either imports or exports
- Experience dealing with Subcontractors preferred but not essential
