Road Freight Coordinator
Road Freight Coordinator | Manchester | Up to £37,000 per annum
I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Road Freight Operator with strong knowledge of European transport and customs procedures to join a fast-paced, client-focused logistics company based in Trafford Park, Manchester.
Job type: Permanent
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 08:00-17:00
Salary: Up to £37,000
Day to day:
- Providing accurate and competitive quotes for European road freight movements
- Creating bookings and ensuring all export documentation and customs requirements are met
- Liaising with customers regarding collection and delivery dates, ensuring smooth communication throughout the process
- Monitoring and managing shipments, proactively resolving any issues or delays
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on service excellence and repeat business
Requirements
- Proven European road freight experience with a UK based forwarder
- Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship is on offer)
- Experience in Road Import and/or Export
- Customs awareness and understanding of current export procedures
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach
- The ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine passion for customer service and relationship management
