Do you have experience in road freight or logistics coordination? We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Road Freight Coordinator to join our busy transport team.
In this role, you’ll coordinate subcontracted transport operations, build strong working relationships with external hauliers, negotiate competitive rates, and ensure freight is delivered on time and to specification. You’ll be responsible for daily freight bookings, delivery tracking, KPI monitoring and providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily road freight movements and bookings
- Build and manage relationships with subcontracted carriers
- Negotiate rates to secure cost-effective solutions
- Monitor delivery performance and resolve issues proactively
- Maintain accurate documentation in the TMS
Requirements:
- Experience in road freight, transport coordination or haulage (around 2+ years preferred)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Confident using TMS systems and Microsoft Office
Package:
- £32,000 base salary
- Annual performance bonus
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
