Road Freight Coordinator – Felixstowe
Location: Felixstowe
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary: £35,000 + Yearly Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We’re working with a well-established logistics and freight forwarding business seeking an experienced Road Freight Coordinator to join their growing team in Felixstowe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of road freight processes who enjoys working in a supportive, forward-thinking logistics business.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and coordinating road freight shipments, ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and timely delivery.
Managing daily operations, including transport bookings, liaising with hauliers, and tracking shipment progress.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, providing updates, resolving issues, and delivering excellent service.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, customs requirements, and internal procedures.
Preparing and handling documentation, including transport orders, customs paperwork, and invoicing.
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a road freight forwarding role
Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs systems (e.g., CDS/CHIEF)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
