Road Freight Coordinator

European Road Freight Operator – Grays, Essex – Up to £30,000

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, Italian-owned freight forwarding group specialising in logistics solutions for the fashion and retail sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced European Road Freight Operator to join their team at their office in Grays, Essex.

Location: Grays, Essex
Salary: Up to £30,000
Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:30 – 17:00

As a European Road Freight Operator, you will take responsibility for managing end-to-end import operations for European road freight shipments.

You will coordinate shipments from origin through to final delivery, ensuring all customs procedures, documentation, and operational processes are handled efficiently while maintaining strong communication with clients and carriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage European road freight import and Export shipments from origin through to final delivery.
• Handle customs clearance procedures and documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure shipments move on time.
• Maintain excellent client communication and customer service standards.
• Monitor shipments and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing end-to-end European road freight imports and exports
• Proven experience with a UK based freight forwarder
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a fast-paced operations team.
