Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £35,000

We are working with a leading logistics provider who is seeking an experienced European Road Freight Forwarder to join their growing team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven experience in road freight operations to further develop their career with a highly respected business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate European road freight shipments (both full and part loads).

• Source, negotiate, and liaise with hauliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive rates and service levels.

• Oversee the end-to-end transport process, ensuring shipments are delivered on time and to customer requirements.

• Prepare and manage relevant freight documentation and customs requirements.

• Track and monitor consignments, resolving any issues proactively.

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in European road freight forwarding is essential.

• Strong understanding of European transport networks and customs processes.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in transport management systems (TMS) and MS Office applications.

• Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
