I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately owned freight forwarding business with a strong reputation for delivering tailored global logistics solutions. With decades of experience and an extensive international partner network, they provide flexible, customer-focused services across sea, air, and road freight.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a capable and proactive operator to join their team.

The Role

You’ll manage import and export shipments across multi modal services, overseeing files from booking through to invoicing. This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone confident handling the full forwarding process, including customs procedures.

There is also a light commercial aspect, following up quotations and maintaining customer contact to support service growth – consultative rather than sales-driven.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage import and export files end-to-end

• Coordinate with carriers, hauliers, and overseas partners

• Arrange customs clearance and ensure compliant documentation

• Liaise with customers and internal teams

• Resolve operational issues efficiently

• Ensure accurate costing and invoicing

• Support commercial follow-ups and business growth

About You

• Minimum 2 years experience in freight forwarding

• Strong customs knowledge

• Exposure to road freight essential; air and sea advantageous

• Organised, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused

• Confident communicator comfortable in a fast-paced environment
