Location: Midlands, East Anglia, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £33,000 per annum plus uncapped commission

Are you an experienced engineer looking to transition to sales? Are you interested in joining a company that provides extensive training, support, and clear progression opportunities to Sales Manager and beyond?

Our client is seeking a Sales Engineer with experience in chemically bonded/no bake sand systems to present technical solutions to customers and promote the company’s products and services. While previous sales experience is not necessary, you should be comfortable meeting with clients, understanding their requirements, and negotiating contracts.

To be considered for this position, you should have previous experience in the foundry industry as a service engineer, metallurgist, maintenance engineer, casting machine operator, or in a similar Sales role such as Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Applications Engineer, Sales representative. You should also have a thorough understanding of the foundry industry and a good knowledge of chemically bonded/no bake sand systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Meeting with clients to understand their requirements
• Offering appropriate solutions based on customer requirements
• Visiting customer sites regularly to promote the company’s products and services
• Negotiating contracts

Key skills and qualifications:

• Thorough understanding of the foundry industry
• Knowledge of chemically bonded/no bake sand systems
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
• Effective communication skills – both verbal and written

Package:

• £32,000-£33,000 p/a
• Uncapped commission – Year one earnings circa £7,000-£10,000
• Company car
