Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Subcontract Manufacturing – Sheet Metal, Fabrication & Machining

As part of my clients growth plans, they are seeking an enthusiastic individual to drive new business as well as maximise current opportunities.

The company has an exceptional reputation for quality and operates from a modern, well invested manufacturing facility providing sub-contract Laser cutting, CNC forming/bending, welding and fabrication.

The Package:

£55,000- £60,000

OTE – Based on new business targets and Account management (circa 20% of salary)

£6k car allowance

Mobile phone & Laptop

23 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with length of service)

The Role:

• Planning, managing and interacting with both existing and new customers.
• Research and seek out market intelligence to ensure opportunities are generated, promoted and converted
• Assist in the production of technical quotations
• Visit customers to assess requirements and possible opportunities
• Demonstrate the technical capabilities offered
• Daily use of CRM and ERP systems
• Develop the UK sales territory with a view to introducing additional industry sectors and opportunities

Requirements:

• Technically and commercially astute within a sub-contract engineering environment, selling solutions to customers.
• Experience working within a fabrication, sheet metal or machining environment.
• Proven record of servicing technically challenging industrial environment – eg automation, energy, automotive, rail, defence, construction
• Will have held one of the following job titles in the past; Sales Manager, Business Development Manager within a manufacturing environment
