The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to drive growth within recycling and muck away services across the Manchester region.
This is a commercially focused, field-based role where you will take ownership of developing business across infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects-maximising opportunities for recycling, landfill diversion, and sustainable material reuse.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive the safe, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of excavation waste (muck away) across your territory
- Identify and maximise opportunities for recycling, recovery, and landfill diversion
- Engage in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) to shape efficient, sustainable solutions at pre-construction stage
- Review tender and pre-contract documentation to ensure correct waste classification, routing, and pricing strategies
- Act as the commercial lead for muck away enquiries within your region
- Conduct site visits to assess access, contamination risks, and optimal disposal routes
- Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure compliance with waste regulations and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement through customer feedback and service insights
- Support wider commercial strategy by increasing visibility of service capabilities and expanding market share
What We’re Looking For
- Experience or knowledge of muck away, aggregates, or recycling services (highly desirable)
- Strong commercial mindset with a target-driven approach
- Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working across a regional territory
