Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire

Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 (DOE)

My client is looking for an experienced Sea Freight Coordinator to join their team based in St Albans. You will join the Operations team where you will gain a comprehensive understanding of client requirements, calculate and negotiate sea freight quotations and manage bookings from start-to-finish.

My client is an experienced freight forwarder with over 35 years of experience in the industry, dealing with approximately 230 clients world-wide, with multiple offices across the UK.

Package Benefits:

• Annual Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 (DOE)
• Full time: Monday to Friday – 8:30am-5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day to day Sea Freight import operations.
• Raising Job files and all of the appropriate operations paperwork.
• Processing jobs through the AZYRA software system.
• Customs entries.
• To be responsible for the daily checking of all Sea freight jobs and ensuring that clients are kept informed of any deviation to the agreed schedule.
• Extensive supplier and client liaison and negotiation.
• Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service information.
• Managing the jobs from quotation stage to final invoicing in line with the client expectations and communicating effectively any service issues.
• Proactively contacting the existing clients to maximise business potential.

Requirements:

• Sea freight operations experience is essential.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Ability to work with and support a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail.
