Location: Bradford
Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE
A well-established and growing international freight forwarding business is seeking an experienced Sea Freight Export Specialist to join its busy operations team in Bradford.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected forwarder with a strong reputation in the market, offering long-term stability, a supportive team environment and genuine progression potential.
You’ll be responsible for managing LCL and FCL export shipments from start to finish, working closely with clients, overseas agents and shipping lines to ensure smooth and efficient movement of cargo worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full start-to-finish sea export shipments (LCL & FCL)
- Liaise with customers, overseas agents and shipping lines
- Arrange collections and transport from origin to destination
- Prepare and manage export documentation
- Handle export customs clearance processes
- Provide operational support across the export function
- Manage costing, invoicing and file profitability
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in sea freight exports with a UK freight forwarder
- Strong knowledge of LCL and/or FCL export operations
- Experience managing shipments from booking through to billing
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, agents and carriers
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Desirable (but not essential):
- Quoting experience
- Previous experience using CargoWise
