My client have an opening in their busy Deep Sea Department for a skilled and experienced Sea Freight Professional with experience in Managerial positions. As the operation has grown, their values have stayed consistent. Employing circa 25 Staff across their Sea freight, Airfreight, & European export and import departments with a Team of Management responsible for each department.

About the role:
- Working in the Sea Freight Import department you will be responsible for handling business from start to finish ie quoting
- Building jobs in our system
- Liaising with shipping lines or NVOCC’s and hauliers
- Customs clearing the goods and invoicing customers but also running a team of 4 including yourself
- Completing files and delegating where necessary to keep the team operating as efficiently as possible.
Requirements:
5+ years experience required with a freight forwarder in the UK, customs clearance experience necessary with CDS (so doing customs in the last 3 or 4 months. – Experience with Cargowise system is highly favoured.
