Location: Ipswich, UK

Salary: £65,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Company Car

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Manage your Own Diary

Are you a results driven, sales hungry freight and logistics business development manager, looking for a new role in the Ipswich area? This role could be right for you.

My client is offering a fantastic package for experienced Logistics Sales person to help develop their customer base in the Short-Sea and Ro/Ro sectors. The right candidate will be an experienced and fully established sales-person who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Shipping Line, developing Short-Sea Trade Lanes, Ro/Ro and Container Operations and have great knowledge and experience with UK, EU and International Markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent ocean freight forwarding services.
• To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
• Be the forefront of the companies’ development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.
• Develop new and existing Short-Sea Trade Lanes and Ro/Ro Trailer and Container Operations.

Requirements:

• Customer/Business/Route Development Manager Experience is Essential.
• Experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Shipping Line.
• Knowledge and experience within Short-Sea and Ro/Ro sales/operations is Essential.
• Previous experience working with UK, EU and/or International Markets.
• Hold a full, clean, UK driving licence.
