Senior Systems and Controls Engineer – MEICA Engineering Projects
Our client has over 30 years’ of experience providing MEICA engineering services to the water and wastewater utilities sector.
You will be joining a highly motivated systems integration team that is constantly looking to evolve and develop, to design, program and deliver automation projects.
Your Role
The Senior Controls Engineer will demonstrate technical aptitude in specialist projects (mainly within the UK Utilities Industry)
- Surveying & writing clear reports.
- Production of detailed functional design specifications (FDS)
- Bespoke program development, configuration and modification of PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems.
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Customer facing FATs (CFAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) reports.
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- On site installation, testing, fault finding and commissioning.
Essential
- Experienced Controls Engineer in Industrial Automation (Specifically, Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic, FTView HMI)
- Strong commissioning capabilities
Desirable
- Experience with Control Logix, Compact Logix, Micro Logix, SLC PLC’s.
- WonderWare Achestra System Platform & InTouch HMI.
- Industrial Networking (Profibus, DeviceNet, Modbus, ControlNet, TCP/IP, fibre…etc).
- Iconics (Genesis 32 and 64).
- Experience with instrumentation (level, pressure and flow sensors, variable speed drives…etc).
- Electrical experience with a knowledge of control panels and MCC’s including fault finding, repair and modification.
- Experience with other PLCs & HMIs (Siemens, Mitsubishi…etc) and SCADA configuration packages (Iconics, Schneider Clear SCADA…etc).
- Water Industry Experience.
Package:
- Salary £50,000 – £65,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)
- Company van, laptop and mobile phone provided.
- Working hours 07:30 – 16:00, Monday – Friday.
- Auto enrolment pension scheme.
- Mileage payment incentive for driving to/from site, outside of working hours.
