Senior Quality Engineer
Senior Quality Engineer required.
Several years UK quality experience is required. Experience within a similar environment such as fabrication, heavy engineering, machinery manufacturing is required or perhaps from an automotive or aerospace sector.
The company are a global engineering company in Droitwich are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Quality Engineer.
The role
- A hands on quality role supporting production – to step in during issues and take lead role
- Solving quality issues and leading corrective actions e.g. during line stops
- Helping with standardisation and driving up quality, writing & updating internal documents
- Train and up skill junior members of the quality team
- Ensure quality and efficiency across business, identifying gaps in quality processes
- Conduct performance assessments, manage non-conformance NCR, quality escape management process
- Containment, root cause, corrective actions, 8Ds
- Create quality plans, support risk management
Hours 38pw
Requirements
- Experienced Quality Engineer – essential
- Significant experience as a quality engineer within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ideally aerospace or automotive environment background
- Use quality tools; RCCA, 8D, 5Y, PFMEA
- Able to read engineering drawings confidently to identify design / manufacturing issues
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
Package
- Salary to around £35ph – £40ph (outside IR35)
