Job Title: Senior Road Freight Operator
Location: WV10 9JY – Wolverhampton
Salary: £40,000 DOE

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Road Freight Operator to join our client’s dynamic team in Wolverhampton. This role will involve managing and coordinating import and export shipments across the UK and Europe, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transport solutions for our clients.

Senior Road Freight Operator Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage road freight operations for both imports and exports, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all regulations.
• Liaise with clients, hauliers, customs agents, and third-party providers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including CMRs, customs declarations, T1s, and invoices.
• Monitor and track shipments, proactively resolving delays or issues that arise during transit.
• Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws.
• Provide quotes and costings to clients, manage job files, and ensure accurate billing and profitability analysis.
• Support junior team members and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a consistently high level of service and satisfaction.

Senior Road Freight Operator Requirements:

• Strong understanding of international road transport regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.

• Experience working with groupage, full-load, and express shipments.
• Previous supervisory or mentoring experience.
