We’re working with a well-established and highly respected freight forwarding business to recruit an experienced Senior Road Import Specialist for their busy Heathrow operation.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in managing end-to-end road import operations, ensuring smooth and compliant movement of goods across borders. This is a hands-on, senior-level position where your expertise will be valued from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle road import shipments from start to finish
• Complete customs clearances including both inventory-linked and non-inventory linked entries
• Liaise with customers, hauliers, and customs authorities to ensure timely delivery
• Troubleshoot and resolve any clearance or documentation issues
• Ensure full compliance with UK customs regulations and procedures
• Support and guide junior team members where required

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in road imports within a freight forwarding environment
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures (inventory & non-inventory linked)
• Confident handling high-volume, time-sensitive shipments
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Air import experience would be a strong advantage
