Position: Senior Transport Manager

Location: Battersea

Salary: Up to £55,000 (DEO)

We are recruiting for one of the UK’s leading distributors, who supply food, drink and catering supplies out of their network of 26 depots UK-wide.

This role is for overseeing a team of managers, drivers and supervisors, a busy transport office and a fleet of vehicles for a multi-national food service brand.

Your key responsibilities as a Senior Transport Manager:

• Responsible for the running and compliance of around 55 vehicles and routes
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and improve costs
• Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost-effectively
• Disciplinary meetings as and when required
• Set and monitor KPI’s to ensure all staff perform as expected and identify areas of improvement
• All Health & Safety procedures must be maintained and company policies and procedures adhered to
• Understanding and implementing VOSA standards

Requirements:

• Transport Managers CPC essential
• Proven experience in foodservice transportation service is desirable
• Multi-drop planning experience is advantageous
• Chilled, ambient & frozen good distribution experience is desirable
• Strong management skills
• The ability to work well in a fast paced environment
