Position: Senior Transport Manager
Location: Battersea
Salary: Up to £55,000 (DEO)
We are recruiting for one of the UK’s leading distributors, who supply food, drink and catering supplies out of their network of 26 depots UK-wide.
This role is for overseeing a team of managers, drivers and supervisors, a busy transport office and a fleet of vehicles for a multi-national food service brand.
Your key responsibilities as a Senior Transport Manager:
- Responsible for the running and compliance of around 55 vehicles and routes
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and improve costs
- Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost-effectively
- Disciplinary meetings as and when required
- Set and monitor KPI’s to ensure all staff perform as expected and identify areas of improvement
- All Health & Safety procedures must be maintained and company policies and procedures adhered to
- Understanding and implementing VOSA standards
Requirements:
- Transport Managers CPC essential
- Proven experience in foodservice transportation service is desirable
- Multi-drop planning experience is advantageous
- Chilled, ambient & frozen good distribution experience is desirable
- Strong management skills
- The ability to work well in a fast paced environment
