Senior Transport Planner
Transport Planner – Trafford Park – up to £35,000
You will be joining an independent logistics company that are experts in all they do, are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team.
As Transport Planner, you will be working with a small team of Planners, routing company owned vehicles UK wide.
Job type: Permanent
Shifts: 06:00-16:00 – Monday to Friday (Occassional Saturday)
Salary: Up to £35,000
The Role:
- Transport planner will be routing company owned vehicles
- You must Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
- It is the Transport Planners responsibility to plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours
- Transport Planner will ensure all customers are kept up to date
- All necessary admin must be completed
- You will be working with the Operations Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
- Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies’ requirements.
The Requirements:
- Extensive Transport route planning skills
- General Haulage is experience preferred
- CPC Desirable
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Strong communication skills
