Service Engineer
Service Engineer – Covering London & surrounding areas – £26,000 + Company Van
Service Engineer required to carry out the Servicing and Commissioning requirements of specialist water treatment and filtration equipment in London and the surrounding areas.
This is an ideal role for someone who has experience of mechanical maintenance ideally within construction, civil engineering, water treatment or similar, who is looking to develop their careers and establish themselves as experts in the water treatment field.
The role offers 6 months of training and 2 weeks of extensive product training.
The Package:
Salary – £26,000
In-house training on products and documentation
Pay review at month 3, 6 and 12.
20 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing to 33 days with length of service)
4% pension contribution
Tracked Company van, for work use only.
Company mobile phone and laptop for work use only.
The Role:
- Undertake maintenance and remedial works on water treatment equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, undertake like for like replacements and repairs.
- Plan and prepare work based on the equipment specifications and system design drawings (Heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and potable water systems). Ensure equipment and component installations are of acceptable quality and meet design specification.
- Complete pre-commission checks prior to commissioning water treatment equipment.
- Sample system water, check water quality parameters, system operating temperatures and pressures, equipment integrity and record measurements.
- Set up and programme ancillary equipment and programmable logic controllers for effective operation.
- Prepare estimations of materials, equipment parts and labour, review access arrangements for remedial works.
- Liaise with customers and inform on issues, necessary repairs, any resolved problems.
Requirements:
- Educated to A-level or have an equivalent level qualification in an engineering or plumbing related subject.
- Must have an engineering background.
- Must have an aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Applicants must be physically fit as an occupational requirement, as the role required the movement of podiums, materials and equipment between your vehicle, site and installed locations.
- Must have a clean and valid driving licence and valid passport / work visa that allows you to work in the UK. My client’s fleet insurance policy requires all drivers to be 25 or over.
