Shovel and Excavator Heavy Plant Operator
Location: Dagenham, East London
Salary: Circa £37,000 – £38,000pa (£16.00p/h)
Working Hours: 7am – 5pm (Guarenteed 45 hours per week)
Are you a skilled Heavy Plant operator, with experience with Shovel and Excavator operations, seeking a stable role with a respected, expanding company that prioritises expertise, safety, and customer satisfaction?
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established waste management and aggregate recycling provider based in Dagenham, London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-start checks, operate plant safely and efficiently, and carry out scheduled maintenance and inspections.
- Maintain high health and safety standards by reporting defects, incidents, and concerns, and role modelling safe working practices.
- Manage stockpiles and yard movements effectively to reduce contamination, minimise waste, and support production targets.
- Load and dispatch vehicles safely while ensuring plant and equipment are properly maintained.
- Work collaboratively to deliver quality products, uphold housekeeping standards, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the Waste and/or Aggregates industries
- Previous Experience with Loading shovel, crusher, lorries, excavator and screeners.
- Health and Safety Focussed.
- Ability to work confidently alone or collaboratively within a team.
