Supply Chain Manager
Supply Chain Manager – Leeds – Up to £40,000
This is a critical role within a fast-growing business that will be responsible for managing logistics and customer order fulfilment. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and be prepared to get stuck in during busy periods! This role directly reports into the Head of Operations.
Job type: Full-time
Working hours: Monday to Friday – 08:00am to 16:00pm
Package:
- Salary up to £40,000
- 25 days holiday allowance
- 3% pension
Responsibilities:
- Process and co-ordinate customer orders to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Handling correspondence with customers, including emails and phone calls, and responding to inquiries in a professional and timely manner with regards to orders.
- Co-ordinate transportation and logistics activities with their third-party hauliers.
- Communicate with third party hauliers to ensure smooth transit of goods to customers.
- Identify and address any issues or challenges in the order fulfilment supply chain promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with third-party cold store / haulier to drive service delivery through challenging causes of failure and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Own & develop the monthly stock reconciliation process in their own warehouse and their third-party cold-store / haulier
- Direct line management responsibility for their Delivery Drivers in setting workload, routes and order prioritisation.
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer order records, both electronic and physical.
- Take the lead on relevant supply chain projects to deliver cost savings or process improvement
Requirements:
- Proven experience in supply chain or related roles.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow, set up and drive process forward.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Independently take ownership of tasks through to completion.
- UK driving license.
