My client is looking to appoint a Validation Engineer as part of the Documentation department. Once a full understanding of the machines has been obtained there will be opportunities to develop a greater depth of understanding in a particular area of operations
The Company
Based in Essex, near Basildon. The provide design and assembly of filling and packaging lines, in the pharmaceutical industry. Including conveyors, enclosures, air handling and electrical control systems
All panel building, wiring, and PLC programming is done on-site
As experience of the documentation requirements and machine functionality increases, the role will expand to include additional tasks such as: Preparing Qualification Documentation expected by the Pharmaceutical Industry (DQ, IQ and OQ documents)
Alongside the testing activities, the role will also include:
You will initially focus on performing tests on machines using pre-prepared test protocols to support the verification process of the machines being supplied.
- Reporting the outcome of tests and provide feedback to help improve the testing process
- Review and update of Equipment Design Specifications and Qualification Documentation
- Preparing equipment Operator and Technical Manuals in line with relevant machinery standards
- Preparing Equipment Design Specifications for reference by customers and internal staff
- Interpreting customer User Requirements Specifications and support documentation
- Liaising with suppliers and customers Validation departments during projects
- Conducting Site Acceptance Tests at customers sites
You
- Must have a mechanical or electrical bias
- HNC trained engineering apprentice or engineering graduate with work experience within an engineering environment
- Must be competent with PLC systems e.g. Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley
- Experience working for a manufacturer
