Role: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Ashton-Under-Lyne
Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Sales Engineer with experience in the pumps industry to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and providing technical sales support for our range of pump solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the pumps and fluid handling market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and contractors.
- Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical specifications.
- Work closely with the engineering and operations teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in sales within the pumps, fluid handling, or mechanical equipment industry.
- Technical background in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pump systems and applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Knowledge of industries such as water treatment, oil & gas, manufacturing, or utilities.
