Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Midlands (Field-Based)
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Company Car/Allowance

We are working with a well-established and growing engineering business that is looking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer to support continued expansion across the Midlands region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid engineering background who has already gained some exposure to sales, account management, or customer-facing responsibilities.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer accounts. The role is highly consultative, requiring you to understand client requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions across a range of engineering or manufacturing applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the Midlands

• Managing and nurturing existing customer relationships

• Providing technical advice and product recommendations

• Preparing and delivering proposals, quotations, and presentations

• Working closely with internal engineering and operations teams

• Attending client meetings, site visits, and industry events

The Candidate

We are looking for a technically minded individual who can bridge the gap between engineering and sales.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in a technical sales, internal sales, or applications engineering role

• A background within engineering or manufacturing (mechanical, electrical, or industrial)

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to understand technical drawings/specifications (advantageous)

• A proactive and self-motivated approach

• Full UK driving licence
