Role: Technical Sales Manager
Location: UK (Hybrid / Field-Based)
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and providing consultative technical sales support for our range of precision machinery and automation systems. This is a client-facing role that requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to translate complex technical solutions into commercial value.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Identify and secure new business within precision engineering and manufacturing sectors
- Manage and grow existing key accounts
- Conduct technical consultations, product demonstrations, and solution presentations
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and negotiate contracts
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure successful delivery
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in technical sales within manufacturing, machine tools, automation, or capital equipment
- Strong understanding of precision engineering and manufacturing processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a field-based territory
- Full UK driving licence
