Trailer Technician
Position: Trailer Fitter
Location: Portsmouth
Job Type: Permanent, Monday – Friday 7am-4pm or 9am-6pm
Salary: £45,000 (DEO)
The Role
As a Trailer Fitter, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of trailers, ensuring they meet DVSA standards.
Package
- £40K – £45K (DEO)
- 33 days holiday (Inclusive of Bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities as a Trailer Fitter:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers
- Diagnose and fix issues with brakes, suspension, lighting, bodywork and other components
- Conduct welding and fabrication work when necessary
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Workshop Fitter / Trailer Technician / Trailer Fitter or similar role
- Strong knowledge of trailer components and repair techniques
- Must have experience working on commercial vehicles
- Welding and fabrication experience (preferred but not required)
- Must have own tools
- A valid HGV driver’s license (is a plus)
