A fantastic opportunity for an electrician, electrical engineer or graduate with electrical engineering experience to train into an Electrical Estimator or Electrical Quantity Surveying position with a market-leading M&E contractor
Requirements:
- Completed electrical apprenticeship or degree or diploma in electrical engineering
- Experience of commercial and industrial electrical engineering
- Experience of tendering or estimating electrical projects
Package:
- Salary approximately £34.000 which is negotiable depending on the level of experience
- Full training on electrical tendering
- Hybrid working
- 33 days holiday
- 8% pension
Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects by analyzing project requirements, specifications, and drawings
- Budget Management: Work closely with senior quantity surveyors to manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Tendering: Participate in the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluating bids, and providing recommendations
- Contract Administration: Learn to administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions
- Quantity Take-offs: Assist in the measurement and quantification of materials and labor required for electrical installations
- Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and ensure accurate project cost assessments
- Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed records of project costs, contracts, and related documentation
