Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum

I currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Road Freight Import Coordinator with some experience in road freight, logistics or import operations to join a well-established logistics company in Manchester.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting and coordinating European road freight import shipments from collection through to delivery

• Assisting with and checking import documentation, ensuring customs clearance requirements are met accurately and on time

• Liaising with European partners, hauliers, and customers to manage transport schedules and delivery updates

• Tracking and monitoring shipments, identifying and helping to resolve any delays or issues

• Learning to prepare competitive import quotations and manage client accounts

• Building knowledge of European transport routes, customs procedures, and Incoterms

What we’re looking for:

• Some experience in road freight, logistics, or import operations

• A genuine interest in developing a long-term logistics career

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• A proactive approach and ability to work well under pressure

• Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
